Baby Ballet

I have been so eager to start Hannah in Ballet and couldn't wait until she got old enough for her first class. In our area, that age is 3, but I found a baby ballet class for "the mature 2 1/2 yr. old at a local recreation center. So Hannah started the month before she was 3. She loved her first class so we were off to a great start. Then Mommy thought our class started 30 min. later than it did for the second class, so we were 30 min. late to class for our second week. This is typical of how my brain has been working lately. We have a running joke at our house that it must be my thyroid. Everything (weight gain, memory loss, etc.) that is not right must be my thyroid! Ha! The teacher was very nice and said we could stay for the next class, but it was 4 and 5 yr. olds. and 45 min. instead of 30. She said Hannah may not last the whole time. Here are the pictures of Hannah in that big girl class. She did sooooooo good until the very end and then she was ready to go and VERY tired from all that dancing.

Hannah met her friend Olivia in this class and we have regular playdates with them now. Olivia has a sister named Willow that is Ella's age. Olivia tells her mom that she doesn't want to go to ballet, just play with Hannah when it's time to go to class. Last week when it was time to go to class, Olivia wanted her mom to bring two of everything they were taking - one for her and one for Hannah. How sweet is that? It just melts my heart. Here are some pictures of Hannah and Olivia in their real class.

Here Hannah is running out of class showing me her stamp she got for listening and following directions and "staying on the X". At the beginning of every class she has to find an X and stand on it.
