Sensational Saturday

The whole family had so much fun today. We spent late morning and afternoon outside. J dug up our cone flowers and planted them all together. Our pansies are still looking great so we decided to enjoy them as long as we can. We added petunias last week and begonias today.
Sweet baby girl giving me some flowers she picked down the street

This is how Hannah has been swinging lately and her little parrot and shadow Ella does the exact same thing.

Hannah swinging in the baby swing. We have a big girl swing for her in the garage, but need to go back to Lowe's and get some chain to hang it.

I attempted to put Ella down for a nap during the landscaping activities, and she kept asking for "Daddy!" so I couldn't resist letting her down from my arms to go watch her daddy. She opted to keep her blanket and paci with her. Then I took off at 2:30 to go meet my sweet friend Randi. We met in the singles group at church years ago. Randi took me under her angel wings when the Lord brought me here at age 28. I wouldn't have made it without her. She always told me I would get married and have babies some day. Right when I met my husband she and her family moved to Arkansas and I have missed her so much. She is an amazing woman of God, wife, and mother. She may have almost talked me into homeschooling tonight. MAYBE.

Here are the girls she came to meet in Dallas for a girls weekend.

We went shopping, to dinner, and then over to Mike and Liz's for dessert and coffee. It was so neat to see each other again and realize we live in the same town, live close to each other, and that they visit our church frequently. Liz is an avid BSFer too! I love it that God has allowed us to reconnect and our paths to cross again.

Here's everybody, including Mike and Liz and their two children.

While I was having a mini reunion and GNO, J and the girls had much fun at the park and ran into two different friends of ours.
